Sephora seeks Category Manager for Fragrance in Düsseldorf to lead assortment strategy, manage supplier partnerships, and drive growth across retail and e-commerce.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own and execute fragrance category assortment strategy across retail and e-commerce channels
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle from conception through market execution
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with fragrance suppliers through business reviews and performance tracking
  • Conduct market trend analysis, consumer behavior assessment, and sales data evaluation to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Design and implement merchandising concepts, floor plans, and localization strategies for retail locations, corners, and new store openings
  • Ensure consistent application of merchandising standards and drive continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Serve as primary liaison between local market teams and Paris headquarters, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with marketing, visual merchandising, sales, CRM, and digital teams for product launches and campaigns
  • Drive sustainable sales growth, margin optimization, inventory turnover, and stock accuracy across the fragrance category
  • Monitor key performance indicators including product availability, sales development, and commercial execution across channels

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in category management, buying, merchandising, or related commercial roles
  • Proven expertise in product, brand, and trade marketing combined with thorough understanding of sales principles
  • Strong analytical capabilities with ability to interpret complex sales data and market metrics
