Sephora – Belo Horizonte (BH Shopping): Contract Cashier role handling POS transactions, customer service and cash management on site.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, efficient customer service at the checkout in accordance with Sephora standards, including greeting customers and engaging in appropriate client dialogue.
- Execute accurate, timely POS transactions, including cash handling, gift packaging and employee transactions, following all opening and closing cash procedures.
- Process returns and exchanges professionally and in line with company policy; escalate exceptions to store management when required.
- Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of the checkout area and contribute to backstage upkeep (stockroom, lockers, staff areas).
- Support operational controls: monitor and report on supplies (bags, packaging, labels), assist with price adjustments and cancellations when authorised, and help reduce store expenses without compromising service standards.
- Complete mandatory training modules (My Sephora Learning) and assist in the onboarding and coaching of new cashiers.
- Adhere to all Sephora and LVMH codes of conduct, security and sample-handling procedures and communicate area needs to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clear verbal communication and strong customer-service orientation.
- Previous cashier or cash-handling experience desirable.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.
- Availability, flexibility and adherence to the store dress code.

Experience
Entry-level role; previous experience as a cashier or in retail checkout is desirable but not mandatory.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
