Sephora — Cashier in Balneário Camboriú, Brazil. Entry-level full-time role delivering POS transactions and customer service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system to complete transactions accurately and efficiently, including gift-wrapping and employee transactions where authorised.
- Adhere to all cash-handling procedures and opening/closing cash protocols, ensuring reconciliation and reporting of discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Deliver Sephora customer-service standards: greet clients, provide basic product and store information, engage appropriately during transactions and promote customer satisfaction surveys.
- Manage returns, exchanges and cancellations in line with company policy, escalating exceptions to the store manager or supervisor.
- Maintain presentation and cleanliness of the checkout area; support backstage standards (stock, lockers, staff areas, restrooms).
- Support inventory of consumables (bags, packaging, labels) and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- Follow company policies on samples, store security and loss-prevention; contribute to cost-control initiatives without compromising service standards.
- Complete required training modules (My Sephora Learning) and assist with onboarding and training of new cashiers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail customer service is desirable.
- Demonstrable customer-service and communication skills.
- Experience with cash handling and familiarity operating a point-of-sale system is desirable.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Availability and flexibility to work store hours; adherence to company dress code and conduct standards.
