Sephora Australia — Sydney: Buyers Assistant role supporting Haircare & Fragrance categories with forecasting, brand partnerships and product launches.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the buying function for Haircare and Fragrance categories across Australia & New Zealand, executing category strategy to drive sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with brand partners and suppliers to optimise range, commercial terms and joint business planning.
- Analyse weekly, monthly and annual sales and brand performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Plan, forecast and coordinate local product launches including briefing, timing, inventory planning and post-launch performance review.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce, Supply Chain, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations to ensure successful launches and promotional campaigns.
- Manage brand onboarding, supplier setup, compliance documentation and regulatory requirements for local market entry.
- Maintain product data integrity, pricing, onsite content and product lifecycle across digital platforms.
- Monitor local and international market trends, competitor activity and category dynamics to inform assortment and pricing decisions.
- Perform general category management administration and ad-hoc commercial tasks to support the buying team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in account, brand or buying support roles; experience in the beauty industry strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable experience within a buying environment or retail merchandise function.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP and PivotTables for reporting and forecasting.
- Strong commercial acumen with retail maths and forecasting capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to build stakeholder relationships.
- High attention to detail, strong time management and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience
Minimum three years of account management, brand management or buying support experience; prior exposure to the beauty or cosmetics sector and hands-on buying processes preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising or a related discipline preferred.
