Sephora seeks a Business Controller in Düsseldorf, Germany to manage P&L, budget planning, and financial reporting for retail and e-commerce operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day business controlling operations and serve as a strategic sparring partner for the Finance Director and internal departments
- Manage full P&L responsibility for retail and e-commerce business, including revenue and cost control
- Assist in annual budget planning and monitoring, conducting mid-year reviews, financial forecasting, and ad-hoc simulations
- Prepare regular forecasts, weekly and monthly reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB and IFRS guidelines
- Collaborate closely with European Headquarters on financial strategy and reporting standards
Qualifications
- Degree in business administration with specialization in finance and controlling
- Sound knowledge of monthly and annual financial statement preparation under HGB and IFRS frameworks
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Professional experience with SAP
- Fluent written and spoken English
- German language skills (preferred)

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in controlling, ideally within the retail sector. Demonstrated expertise in revenue management, cost control, and financial reporting.
Education
Degree in business administration with a focus on finance and controlling.
