Benefits Specialist (15-month contract) at Sephora Canada, Toronto. Manage employee benefits administration and support carrier transition.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of group health and dental insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, EFAP, retirement plans, and other employee benefit offerings
- Provide guidance to employees, managers, and HR partners on benefits eligibility, coverage, claims processes, accommodations, leave entitlements, and available support resources
- Manage the complete lifecycle of leave, disability, and accommodation cases, including intake, documentation, case tracking, vendor coordination, return-to-work planning, and ongoing employee support
- Support Sephora Canada's 2027 benefits carrier transition through implementation activities, data validation, testing, employee communications, issue resolution, and post-launch support
- Create and maintain communication materials, FAQs, and reference guides to help employees understand benefits and leave programs and make informed decisions
- Prepare reports, maintain tracking tools, review benefits data, support compliance activities, and identify process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, Total Rewards, or related field, including at least 3 years of hands-on benefits and leave program support
- Strong knowledge of group benefits, retirement programs, disability and leave administration, employee eligibility requirements, and payroll implications
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation considered an asset)
- Experience supporting benefits implementations, carrier transitions, system conversions, or major program enhancements (considered an asset)
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience
5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, Total Rewards, or a related field, including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting employee benefits and leave programs. Experience with benefits implementations, carrier transitions, or system conversions is advantageous.
Education
Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is considered an asset.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 76,000 to CAD 85,000 per annum.
