Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized beauty consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client's individual needs
- Demonstrate comprehensive product expertise and educate clients on beauty techniques and skincare/makeup application
- Monitor and share knowledge of emerging beauty trends, products, and innovations to provide relevant advice
- Drive sales results and exceed key performance indicators within assigned responsibilities
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards
- Support inventory management and merchandising activities to ensure product availability
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment where all customers and colleagues feel welcomed
- Uphold Sephora Canada policies and ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience
- Maintain availability during peak retail operations including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality, or client-focused service experience with demonstrated excellence in customer relationships
- Demonstrated passion for beauty, cosmetics, fragrance, and current beauty trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and active listening abilities
- Team player with collaborative mindset in goal-oriented environments
- Quick learning capability with ability to absorb and disseminate product knowledge
- Physical ability to lift and carry merchandise up to 50 pounds
Skills
Experience
Beginner-level experience in retail, hospitality, or client-focused environments with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent service and build strong customer relationships. Prior beauty industry experience is not required but a demonstrated passion for beauty, cosmetics, and trends is essential.
Education
Secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent). Relevant beauty certifications or cosmetic training are an asset but not required.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, with easy access to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 19.20 to CAD 22.60 per hour.
