Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised beauty consultations and product recommendations that respond to individual client needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance; educate clients to empower informed purchase decisions.
- Remain current on industry trends, new product launches and application techniques to provide relevant advice.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators through proactive client engagement and conversion.
- Support stock management and merchandising to ensure inventory accuracy and a visually compelling sales floor.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment that reflects Sephora standards.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team culture and follow company policies to ensure a safe shopping experience.
- Be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and demonstrate reliable punctuality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or another client-facing environment with demonstrated customer-service aptitude.
- Passion for beauty, cosmetics and current industry trends.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Team-oriented mindset and comfort working in a goal-driven retail environment.
- Fast learner with the capacity to absorb product knowledge and translate it into client advice.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; availability for peak retail hours (nights, weekends, holidays).

Experience
Entry-level role: prior retail or client-facing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong customer-service aptitude and a desire to develop beauty expertise.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in cosmetology/esthetician studies is an asset.
Workplace
This position is based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, within easy reach of Vancouver.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.85 to CAD 23.55 per hour.
