Sephora Canada in Waterloo is hiring a Beauty Advisor (Flex) — part‑time hourly role paying CAD$18.20–21.40/hr. Apply now.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored, consultative beauty experiences through one-to-one client consultations and product demonstrations.
  • Provide expert product knowledge and education to empower clients in their beauty routines and purchasing decisions.
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales goals and key performance indicators through effective clienteling, upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain merchandising standards, perform inventory tasks and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized and visually compelling.
  • Stay current on beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to keep client advice relevant and compelling.
  • Uphold Sephora Canada policies and safety standards to ensure a secure, welcoming and inclusive shopping environment.
  • Maintain flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays, and meet minimum required shift/hours for the Flex scheduling model.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver excellent client service in a retail, hospitality or client-facing environment; retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrable passion for beauty, trends and product knowledge with a willingness to learn and share expertise.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and long-term client relationships.
  • Team-oriented, reliable and punctual with consistent attendance and the capacity to work peak retail hours.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required by merchandising and stock tasks.

Experience

Entry-level position; previous retail or client-facing experience is preferred but candidates with strong customer service aptitude and a passion for beauty are encouraged to apply.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training or certification in cosmetics, esthetics or makeup artistry is an asset.

This position is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, within easy reach of Toronto.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.20 to CAD 21.40 per hour.
