Sephora in Washington, DC is hiring a part-time Beauty Advisor — personalised consultations and trend expertise, $21.75–$28.00/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised client consultations and tailored product recommendations across makeup, skincare and fragrance.
- Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to educate and empower clients, driving repeat visits and loyalty.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs through consultative selling and client follow-up.
- Maintain merchandising standards: support inventory replenishment, visual presentation and a clean, inviting sales floor.
- Stay current with beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to provide relevant advice.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team environment and uphold company policies for a safe shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience with demonstrated customer service capability preferred.
- Passion for beauty trends, products and client empowerment.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly.
- Reliable availability for required weekly shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience
Entry-level role; previous experience in retail, hospitality or another client-focused environment is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and develop client relationships is valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
