Sephora (Old Orchard, Skokie) is hiring a Part‑Time Beauty Advisor. Hourly $19.80–$22.90/hr; client-facing role focused on consultations and sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised consultations and product recommendations to meet each client’s needs and preferences.
  • Educate and empower clients through product demonstrations, application techniques and trend insights.
  • Drive sales and achieve individual KPIs through client engagement, upselling and conversion activities.
  • Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory management and ensure the sales floor is clean, organised and visually compelling.
  • Stay current on new product launches, industry trends and category knowledge to provide relevant advice.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards to create a secure, welcoming shopping environment.
  • Work flexibly to cover peak retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays and meet minimum weekly shift requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality or other client-facing roles preferred; demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships.

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to consult and influence with confidence.
  • Team-oriented with a results-driven mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick learner with the capacity to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability for scheduled shifts that include nights, weekends and holidays and to meet minimum weekly hours for a part-time schedule.

Experience
