Sephora is hiring a Beauty Advisor (Part Time) in Santa Barbara, CA — deliver personalized beauty consultations and earn $20.85–$23.98/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized in-store beauty consultations and make tailored product recommendations to meet individual client needs.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and educate clients on application techniques, product benefits and routine building.
  • Maintain awareness of current beauty trends, launches and brand assortments to ensure relevant, timely advice.
  • Drive sales performance by meeting or exceeding KPIs and individual sales targets through consultative selling.
  • Support store operations including inventory management, merchandising, stock replenishment and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Ensure a clean, organized and inviting salesfloor; uphold Sephora customer service and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a diverse team and contribute to an inclusive, welcoming store culture.
  • Be available for flexible scheduling, including peak retail hours, nights, weekends and holidays; maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a retail, hospitality or client-facing role.
  • Genuine passion for beauty, product trends and helping clients build confidence.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to quickly learn and confidently convey product knowledge across multiple brands and categories.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing, bending and light stockroom tasks.
  • Reliable availability to meet required weekly shift minimums for a part-time schedule.
