Sephora San Jose (Santana Row) is hiring a Part-Time Beauty Advisor to deliver expert consultations and drive sales. Hourly pay $22.60–$26.00.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized in-store consultations and product recommendations that meet each client’s individual needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance to educate and empower clients.
- Keep current with beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to provide relevant advice and drive repeat visits.
- Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators through consultative selling and effective client follow-up.
- Support merchandising, inventory management and visual standards to maintain a clean, organized and on-brand selling environment.
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive store culture and uphold company policies to ensure a safe shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience preferred with a proven ability to deliver exceptional service.
- Passion for beauty, trends and empowering client confidence.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable building rapport with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience
Entry-level role; prior retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred but not strictly required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology, esthetics, or beauty certifications are a plus.
