Sephora in Rochester, MN is hiring a Beauty Advisor (full-time) to deliver personalised consultations and drive sales — $18.00–$20.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare, fragrance and tools; educate and empower clients with clear application and regimen advice.
- Stay current on beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to maintain relevance and credibility with clients.
- Drive sales performance by meeting or exceeding individual sales targets and KPIs.
- Support merchandising, inventory management and stock replenishment to ensure optimal product availability and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming store environment that reflects Sephora standards.
- Foster an inclusive, team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to a positive client experience.
- Adhere to company policies and loss-prevention procedures to ensure a safe, compliant retail operation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience providing excellent client service in retail, hospitality or other client-facing roles preferred.
- Passion for beauty, product knowledge and an eagerness to learn and share new techniques and trends.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clientele.
- Reliable availability for retail hours, including nights, weekends and holidays; full-time availability typically 30–40 hours/week.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing, bending and merchandising tasks for extended periods.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level. Prior retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is advantageous but not required; Sephora provides on-the-job training to develop product and selling expertise.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, beauty or makeup certification is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18 to USD 20.50 per hour.
