Sephora seeks a Part-Time Beauty Advisor in San Francisco to provide expert consultations, drive sales, and uphold store standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations that address each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across makeup, skincare and fragrance; educate and empower clients to build confidence in their beauty choices.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and store KPIs through consultative selling, product demonstrations and effective merchandising.
- Maintain visual standards: support inventory tasks, merchandising, restocking and ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.
- Stay current with industry trends, new product launches and application techniques to provide relevant, trend-forward advice.
- Foster an inclusive team culture, adhere to Sephora policies, and contribute to a safe, secure shopping experience for clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in retail, hospitality or another client-facing environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Passion for beauty, trends and product education; quick learner able to assimilate and share product knowledge.
- Availability for peak retail hours including evenings, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing duties for extended periods.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level — previous experience in retail, hospitality or another client-facing role is preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to build rapport and drive sales is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology, esthetics or beauty-related certification is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 22.60 to USD 26 per hour.
