Sephora Canada — Beauty Advisor (Part-time) in Ottawa, ON. Hourly role at Bayshore Drive location with pay CAD$18.20–21.40/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized one-to-one beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations that address each client's needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise to educate and empower clients on makeup, skincare and fragrance selection and application techniques.
- Stay current on beauty trends, new product launches and category techniques to maintain relevance in client conversations.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales goals and key performance indicators through proactive selling and client follow-up.
- Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory activities and ensure a clean, organized and inviting retail environment.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and support cash handling and transaction procedures.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team culture and uphold Sephora Canada policies to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping experience.
- Be available to work retail peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays; for part-time roles, meet the role's required weekly hours (typically 15–29 hrs/week).
- Perform physical tasks as required, including lifting merchandise up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Previous customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality or a client-service environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional client service and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
- Enthusiasm for beauty, current trends, and willingness to learn and share product knowledge.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and flexibility to work retail peak times.

Experience
Entry-level position; prior experience in retail, hospitality or other client-facing roles is preferred but not mandatory.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; cosmetology, beauty or retail certifications are an asset.

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.20 to CAD 21.40 per hour.
