Sephora is hiring a part-time Beauty Advisor in New York City to provide tailored beauty consultations, product recommendations and expert product guidance while supporting sales goals, inventory, merchandising and an inclusive, welcoming store environment. This is a permanent, regular position, paid hourly, with part-time schedules of 15–29 hours per week; availability for nights, weekends and holidays is required. Hourly pay is $21.75–$24.88, with comprehensive healthcare and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations to meet clients’ needs.
• Share product expertise to educate and empower clients in their beauty journey.
• Keep current with beauty products, techniques, and trends to provide relevant advice.
• Exceed sales goals and key performance indicators.
• Support inventory and merchandising, and maintain a clean, organized, welcoming store environment.
• Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered.
• Uphold company policies and standards, helping to create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and build strong client relationships in a retail, hospitality, or other client-focused environment.
• Passion for beauty, trends, and empowering confidence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative team player who thrives in a goal-oriented, inclusive environment.
• Quick learner able to absorb and share product knowledge.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours; part-time scheduling is 15–29 hours per week.
• Availability during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance.
