Sephora in Mission Viejo is hiring a part-time Beauty Advisor to deliver personalized consultations and drive in-store sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized beauty consultations and bespoke product recommendations that address individual client needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise and educate clients across makeup, skincare, fragrance and tools to empower confident purchasing decisions.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, new launches and application techniques to provide timely, relevant advice.
- Drive store performance by meeting or exceeding sales goals, conversion metrics and other key performance indicators.
- Support merchandising and inventory processes to maintain a well-stocked, visually compelling and hygienic selling floor.
- Adhere to Sephora’s operational standards and company policies to ensure a safe, secure and welcoming client experience.
- Maintain reliable attendance and availability for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends and holiday periods.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality client service and to build strong customer relationships in retail, hospitality, or other client-facing roles.
- Demonstrable passion for beauty, trends and product knowledge with an enthusiasm for sharing expertise.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging diverse clientele.
- Collaborative team player comfortable working in a goal-oriented, fast-paced retail environment.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to perform standing/customer-facing duties for extended periods.
- Availability to meet minimum weekly shift/hour requirements for part-time scheduling and open to peak retail hours.
Experience
Entry-level role; prior client-facing retail or hospitality experience is recommended and valued but not strictly required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Cosmetology, esthetics or product-specific certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
