Sephora in McLean, VA is hiring a Part-Time Beauty Advisor at Tysons Corner Center; hourly pay $21.75–$24.88/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, consultative beauty experiences and product recommendations tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise and educate clients on application techniques, ingredients, and regimen-building to inspire confidence and loyalty.
- Stay current with beauty trends, new product launches, and category innovations to provide relevant advice and drive repeat visits.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets and key performance indicators through proactive selling and clienteling.
- Support merchandising, inventory management, and visual presentation to maintain a clean, organized and on-brand sales floor.
- Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays; meet minimum weekly shift/hours requirements for the assigned schedule.
Qualifications
- Customer-focused with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent service in a retail, hospitality, or client-facing environment.
- Passion for beauty, trends, and empowering client confidence through product knowledge and application.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and long-term client relationships.
- Team-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, goal-driven store environment.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; previous retail, hospitality, or client-facing experience preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics or beauty certifications are a plus but not required.
