Sephora seeks a part-time Beauty Advisor in Los Gatos, CA to deliver expert consultations and drive sales. Pay $22.60–$26.00/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised in-store beauty consultations and bespoke product recommendations that respond to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across makeup, skincare, fragrance and beauty tools; educate and empower clients to build confidence through product use.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales goals and KPIs through proactive clienteling and conversion-focused selling.
- Maintain merchandise standards, assist with stock management and inventory activities, and ensure an organized, clean and visually appealing sales floor.
- Stay current with industry trends and new product launches to provide relevant, timely advice and preserve Sephora’s reputation as a beauty authority.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative store culture and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe and exceptional client experience.
- Work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and meet required shift and attendance expectations.
Qualifications
- Previous customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality or a client-focused environment preferred.
- Demonstrable passion for beauty, trends and client empowerment.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, adapt quickly to product training and maintain high standards of presentation.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to stand for extended periods.

Experience
Entry-level role; previous retail or client-facing experience is preferred but not strictly required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to build client relationships and meet sales objectives; on-the-job training will be provided.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
