Sephora seeks a full-time Beauty Advisor to deliver personalized beauty consultations and expert product recommendations to clients in the Lahaina, Hawaii location. The role encompasses demonstrating product expertise, maintaining current knowledge of beauty trends and techniques, driving sales performance, and fostering an inclusive, welcoming retail environment. The position requires flexible scheduling, including availability during peak retail hours and holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations based on individual client needs and preferences
- Demonstrate comprehensive product expertise and educate clients about beauty products, techniques, and applications
- Monitor beauty trends, new products, and emerging techniques to provide current and relevant advice to clients
- Drive sales performance and exceed key performance indicators through exceptional service and product knowledge
- Maintain store inventory, merchandising standards, and ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment
- Foster an inclusive culture of openness and empowerment among team members and clients
- Uphold Sephora brand standards, company policies, and maintain a safe, secure shopping experience
- Support peak retail operations during nights, weekends, and holiday periods with consistent attendance and punctuality
Qualifications
- Previous experience providing excellent service and building strong client relationships in retail, hospitality, or client-focused environments
- Demonstrated passion for beauty, cosmetics, and fashion trends
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to thrive in collaborative, goal-oriented, and inclusive settings
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to meet required minimum weekly hours (30–40 hours/week for full-time positions)
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts during peak retail operations
Skills
Experience
Entry-level retail or hospitality experience in a client-focused environment is preferred; candidates with a demonstrated passion for beauty and strong interpersonal skills may be considered even with limited direct experience.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in cosmetology, beauty, or related fields is beneficial but not required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.80 to USD 22.90 per hour.
