Sephora seeks a part-time Beauty Advisor in Irvine, CA—deliver personalized consultations, drive sales, and maintain store standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized one-to-one consultations and tailored product recommendations that address each client's beauty needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across makeup, skincare and fragrance to educate, inspire and empower clients.
- Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding individual and store KPIs through consultative selling and appropriate upselling.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, assist with inventory replenishment and ensure the selling floor is clean, organized and inviting.
- Stay current on beauty trends, new product launches and techniques to provide relevant and timely advice.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that supports team goals and promotes Sephora’s values and policies.
- Be available for scheduled shifts during peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and maintain punctual, reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- A genuine passion for beauty, trends and helping clients feel confident.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable building rapport with diverse clientele.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Quick learner with the capacity to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing shifts for extended periods.

Experience
Entry-level — previous retail or client-facing experience preferred; beginners with a strong passion for beauty and customer service are encouraged to apply.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics, or beauty-related certification is advantageous but not required.
