Sephora is hiring a part-time Beauty Advisor in Houston, TX — client-facing retail role at $19.80–$22.90/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance; educate and empower clients through demonstrations and application advice.
- Drive sales and exceed KPIs through proactive client engagement, product discovery and effective conversion techniques.
- Maintain store presentation, merchandising and inventory standards to ensure a clean, organised and welcoming shopping environment.
- Remain current on beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to provide relevant, up-to-date advice.
- Promote an inclusive, team-oriented store culture and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.
- Work a flexible schedule with availability for peak retail periods (nights, weekends and holidays) and meet the required minimum weekly shifts/hours.
- Perform light physical tasks as required, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Previous client-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or other service environments preferred.
- Genuine passion for beauty, trends and product knowledge with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in goal-oriented retail settings.
- Reliable punctuality and consistent attendance; ability to meet scheduling requirements.
- Physically able to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Experience
Entry-level position; prior retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to build client relationships is valued.
