Sephora is hiring a Beauty Advisor in Hefei, China — deliver expert makeup and skincare consultations and drive store sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert, personalised makeup, skincare and fragrance consultations in line with Sephora service standards to maximise customer satisfaction and conversion.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs through product recommendations, upselling and follow-up.
- Complete cashiering duties according to POS and cash-handling SOPs, accurately processing transactions and promotional offers.
- Maintain visual standards: execute merchandising and promotional displays, replenish products, and ensure presentation meets Sephora visual guidelines.
- Manage stock tasks including receiving, returns, cycle counts and FIFO handling to ensure inventory accuracy and minimise shrinkage; apply 5S principles in the stockroom.
- Participate in required internal and brand training, share knowledge with colleagues, and support personal development plans.
- Adhere strictly to hygiene, CRM and company policies; perform additional duties as assigned by store management.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for cosmetics, beauty and fashion.
- Customer-focused with strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and receptive to ongoing product and brand training.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude and willingness to support store operations.
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain high standards of hygiene and visual presentation.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; prior retail or cosmetics experience is advantageous. Experience with cash handling, CRM use and basic merchandising preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training in beauty, cosmetics or retail is a plus.
