Sephora in Tarzana, CA seeks a Beauty Advisor (Flex). Part‑time hourly role $22.60–$26.00/hr providing expert makeup and skincare consultations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored one‑to‑one beauty consultations and product recommendations that address each client’s needs and preferences
  • Demonstrate product knowledge across makeup, skincare and fragrance; provide application guidance and mini services as appropriate
  • Drive sales and performance metrics by converting consultations into purchases and cultivating ongoing client relationships
  • Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory processes and ensure a clean, organized and welcoming sales floor
  • Proactively stay current on beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to inform client advice
  • Foster an inclusive, team‑oriented environment and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience
  • Work flexible shifts during peak retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays and meet required minimum weekly hours

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality or another client‑facing environment preferred
  • Passion for beauty, trends and educating clients to build confidence
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative selling approach
  • Reliable availability for retail peak hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and ability to meet minimum shift requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds

Experience
