Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored, consultative beauty experiences and product recommendations that address each client’s needs and preferences.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators through proactive client engagement and product expertise.
- Maintain an organized, visually compelling sales floor: support merchandising, stock replenishment, inventory control and loss-prevention practices.
- Stay current on product launches, beauty techniques and seasonal trends to educate and inspire clients.
- Provide a welcoming, inclusive client experience while adhering to Sephora’s operational policies and safety standards.
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays; reliably meet minimum weekly shift/hour requirements for Flex status.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service in retail, hospitality or other client-facing environments.
- Passion for beauty, cosmetics, skincare and the ability to translate trends into client recommendations.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; confident at building rapport and long-term client relationships.
- Availability to work flexible schedules during peak retail hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and meet minimum weekly shift requirements.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing, walking and merchandising tasks for extended periods.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate a customer-service orientation and the ability to build rapport quickly.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
