Sephora Portland, OR is hiring a Beauty Advisor - Flex (part-time). $18.00–$20.50/hr; flexible schedule and personalized beauty consultations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized consultations and tailored product recommendations that address each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise through hands-on demonstrations, application techniques and ingredient knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Keep abreast of beauty trends, new product launches and category innovation to provide relevant, up-to-date advice.
- Drive sales performance and KPIs through consultative selling, clienteling and goal-oriented activities.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and support inventory processes to ensure a clean, organized and inviting shopping environment.
- Uphold company policies, safety and loss-prevention procedures to create a secure and enjoyable client experience.
- Contribute to an inclusive team culture by collaborating with colleagues and supporting Sephora’s values of openness and belonging.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays and meet the role’s minimum weekly shift requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience preferred with a demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Passion for beauty, trends and helping clients build confidence through products and technique.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport quickly with diverse clientele.
- Team-oriented mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and convey information clearly to clients.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Availability for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays; meet minimum weekly shift requirements for Flex scheduling (4–14 hrs/week).

Experience
Entry-level — prior retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred but not strictly required. Demonstrated customer service aptitude and a passion for beauty are valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
