Sephora seeks a Beauty Advisor (Flex) in Pittsburgh, PA — part-time hourly role ($18–$23/hr) delivering personalized client consultations and product expertise.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations that address individual client needs and preferences.
  • Demonstrate product expertise through hands-on demos and clear education to empower client purchasing decisions.
  • Stay current on beauty trends, new product launches, and application techniques to provide relevant advice.
  • Drive sales performance by meeting and exceeding individual and store KPIs.
  • Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory activities, and ensure a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative environment by supporting teammates and upholding company policies and customer service standards.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, and meet required minimum weekly shifts/hours for the Flex program.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and build client relationships in retail, hospitality, or other client-focused settings (preferred).
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable conducting one-on-one consultations.
  • Enthusiasm for beauty trends, product knowledge, and continuous learning.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance across scheduled shifts.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Team-oriented with a goal-driven mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

Entry-level. Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a client-facing role is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, beauty or makeup certifications are a plus.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18 to USD 23 per hour.
