Sephora in Newport News, VA seeks a Beauty Advisor (Flex) — part-time, $18.00–$20.50/hr. Client-facing retail role focused on personalised beauty consultations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised consultations and product recommendations tailored to individual client needs across makeup, skincare and fragrance.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and educate clients on application techniques, ingredients and routines to empower purchase decisions.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging beauty trends and new product launches to provide relevant, up-to-date advice.
  • Drive sales performance by achieving individual sales goals and contributing to store KPIs through consultative selling and clienteling.
  • Support merchandising, inventory replenishment and visual presentation to ensure a clean, organised and welcoming sales floor.
  • Uphold company policies and safety standards to create a secure, inclusive and enjoyable shopping experience for clients and colleagues.
  • Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays and meet the required minimum weekly shifts/hours for the Flex role.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service in retail, hospitality or other client-facing environments (preferred).
  • Demonstrable passion for beauty, trends and product-driven selling.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport quickly with diverse clients.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a goal-oriented, inclusive environment.
  • Fast learner with the capacity to absorb and share product knowledge effectively.
  • Ability to reliably meet scheduled shifts; punctuality and consistent attendance required.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience
