Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized in-store beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations to meet each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product knowledge across makeup, skincare, and fragrance; educate and empower clients on application techniques and regimen building.
- Stay current on beauty trends, new product launches, and category innovations to provide relevant, trend-forward advice.
- Drive sales performance by achieving individual and store KPIs, including conversion, average transaction value and client retention.
- Support merchandising, inventory control and replenishment; ensure displays are stocked, visual standards are met and the selling floor remains welcoming and organized.
- Uphold Sephora operational standards, safety protocols and store policies to create a secure, inclusive shopping environment.
- Work flexibly to cover scheduled shifts during peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and meet the required minimum weekly hours for the Flex schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous experience delivering excellent client service in retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing environments preferred.
- Passion for beauty, trends and continuous product learning.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative selling approach.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a goal-oriented, inclusive environment.
- Reliable availability for retail peak periods (nights, weekends, holidays) and ability to meet minimum weekly shift requirements for a Flex schedule.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Experience
Entry-level position; prior retail or customer-facing experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and meet sales targets is an advantage.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology or beauty certifications considered a plus.
