Sephora is hiring a Beauty Advisor (Flex) in Metairie, LA — part-time role offering personalised beauty consultations. $18.00–$20.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations to meet each client’s needs.
- Demonstrate product expertise across skincare, makeup, fragrance and tools to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain awareness of beauty trends and new product launches to provide current, relevant advice.
- Drive sales performance by meeting or exceeding individual sales goals and key performance indicators.
- Support store operations including merchandising, inventory handling, stock replenishment and maintaining a tidy, welcoming environment.
- Uphold company policies and standards to ensure a safe, secure and inclusive in‑store experience.
- Be available for scheduled shifts during peak retail periods (nights, weekends and holidays) and maintain punctual attendance.
Qualifications
- Previous client-facing experience in retail, hospitality or a similar customer-service environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for beauty and trends.
- Ability to learn product lines quickly and communicate product benefits clearly to clients.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative, goal-driven approach.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform typical retail tasks.
- Availability to meet the required minimum weekly hours for the flex schedule (typically 4–14 hours/week) and work peak retail times.

Experience
Entry-level role; previous client-facing retail or hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong customer-service aptitude and a demonstrable interest in beauty are encouraged to apply.
