Sephora Indianapolis is hiring a Beauty Advisor (Flex). Part‑time hourly role $18–$20.50/hr; client‑facing, consultative beauty position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored, client‑focused beauty consultations and product recommendations that address individual needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of beauty trends, new launches, and application techniques to provide relevant advice.
- Achieve sales goals and KPIs through consultative selling, add‑on recommendations and client follow‑up.
- Support merchandising, inventory management and visual presentation to ensure a clean, organized and welcoming sales floor.
- Contribute to an inclusive team culture by collaborating with colleagues and promoting a respectful client environment.
- Adhere to company policies and loss‑prevention procedures to ensure a safe and secure shopping experience.
- Work flexible hours during peak retail periods, including nights, weekends and holidays, and meet minimum weekly shift requirements for the Flex schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous client‑facing retail, hospitality or service experience with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Passion for beauty products, trends and client education.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable building rapport with diverse clientele.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work in a goal‑driven, collaborative environment.
- Fast learner able to absorb and share product knowledge quickly.
- Ability to meet scheduling requirements for Flex shifts (as needed: 4–14 hrs/week) and be available during peak retail hours.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills
Experience
Entry‑level. Prior experience in retail, hospitality or other client‑facing environments is preferred but not mandatory; demonstrated customer service skills are valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology, makeup artistry or beauty‑industry certifications are a plus.
