Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations to each client.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance; educate clients on application and routines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of beauty trends, product launches and techniques to ensure relevant advice.
- Drive sales and achieve key performance indicators through consultative selling and clienteling.
- Support inventory management, merchandising and ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
- Foster an inclusive team environment and adhere to Sephora’s customer service and safety standards.
- Maintain reliable, punctual attendance and be available to work peak retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or another client-focused environment preferred.
- Passion for beauty, trends and helping clients feel confident.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to learn and quickly communicate product knowledge to clients and team members.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform retail floor tasks.
- Availability to meet minimum weekly shift requirements for a Flex schedule and work peak retail hours.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; previous retail or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated customer service ability and a strong interest in beauty products and trends are preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics, or beauty-specific certifications are a plus but not required.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Bend, Oregon, USA, with easy access to Portland.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18 to USD 20.50 per hour.
