Sephora is hiring a Beauty Advisor in Cologne, Germany — part‑ or full‑time on‑site role delivering client consultations, merchandising and sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised client consultations and short in-store services across makeup, skincare and fragrance to maximise conversion and client satisfaction.
  • Achieve sales KPIs including conversion rate, average basket value and items-per-basket through proactive client engagement and service-selling.
  • Maintain product presentation and visual merchandising standards on the sales floor, ensuring product availability and tidy displays.
  • Manage stock operations: replenishment, warehousing, merchandising updates, preparation of products for sale and participation in inventory counts.
  • Operate the cash register and perform daily transactional duties accurately and in line with store procedures.
  • Support and contribute to in-store beauty classes, trainings and category development initiatives.
  • Perform general store upkeep and additional daily tasks to ensure smooth operational routines.

Qualifications

  • Communicative, reliable and well organised with a customer‑centric attitude.
  • Demonstrated team spirit and a friendly, motivating manner when interacting with colleagues and clients.
  • Comparable experience or a strong interest in beauty, cosmetics, retail, fashion or hospitality; initial retail or customer‑advising experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of current beauty trends and product categories.
  • Fluent in English (or fluent in the country’s native language) and strong verbal communication skills.
  • People-oriented, creative, commercially minded and committed to high standards of client service.

Experience

Entry-level role; previous retail experience or experience in customer advising is advantageous. Candidates with a demonstrable interest in beauty and initial hands-on exposure to sales or service in cosmetics, fashion or hospitality will be well suited.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training or certifications in cosmetics, retail or beauty therapy considered an advantage.
