The Beauty Advisor provides expert makeup, skincare and fragrance advice, delivers Sephora-standard customer service and contributes to sales targets. The role also supports training, visual merchandising, cashiering, CRM procedures, inventory management and day-to-day store operations. This is a full-time, on-site store position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation on makeup, skincare and fragrance.
- Deliver service in accordance with Sephora’s service philosophy to enhance customer satisfaction, while following hygiene rules and regulations.
- Welcome customers in line with company standards for makeup and uniform.
- Understand customer needs, recommend products and help customers select suitable items.
- Understand short- and long-term store sales targets and key KPIs, and work with the team to achieve them.
- Complete required foundational training and examinations; attend brand, regional and in-store training to build product knowledge.
- Share experience with colleagues and support one another’s learning and development.
- Understand Sephora’s store employee development pathways and create a personal development plan.
- Prepare product displays in the assigned area and replenish shelves promptly.
- Keep shelves and drawers clean, maintain the assigned area’s visual presentation to Sephora standards, monitor tester cleanliness and usage, and report issues to the management team.
- Implement the company’s quarterly promotional displays.
- Process customer purchases according to cashier procedures and standard operating procedures, and correctly apply the company’s gift-with-purchase policy.
- Follow CRM policies and procedures and work with the management team on cashiering SOPs to safeguard store cash.
- Process receipts, returns and inventory counts accurately.
- Apply first-in, first-out stock rotation and manage products approaching their sell-by dates to reduce store losses.
- Follow the stockroom 5S policy and all company policies and rules.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the store manager as needed.
