Sephora is hiring a Beauty Advisor in Changsha, China — full-time role delivering makeup, skincare and fragrance consultations in-store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert makeup, skincare and fragrance consultations to customers, ensuring a high-quality, personalized shopping experience in line with Sephora service standards.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs through needs-based selling, product recommendations and participation in promotional activities.
- Support daily store operations including cashiering, execution of CRM and cash-handling SOPs, and compliance with company buying/gift policies.
- Maintain visual merchandising and product displays within assigned areas to Sephora visual standards; replenish stock and ensure trial testers are clean and available.
- Execute stock-management tasks: receiving, returns, cycle counts and FIFO for merchandise; maintain storeroom 5S standards to minimize shrinkage.
- Complete required brand and corporate trainings, participate in in-store learning sessions and contribute to peer coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Perform additional duties assigned by store management and adhere to all company policies and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications
- Passion for cosmetics, beauty and fashion; strong interest in continuous learning about brands and products.
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a retail team.
- Ability to follow SOPs, hygiene protocols and CRM/cashiering procedures consistently.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; prior retail or beauty consultancy experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with demonstrated customer-service skills or relevant training in cosmetics are encouraged to apply.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; cosmetology or beauty-related certification is a plus.
