Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised beauty consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across makeup, skincare and fragrance to educate and empower clients.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales goals and key performance indicators through consultative selling and client follow‑up.
- Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory management and ensure a clean, organised and welcoming sales floor.
- Stay current on beauty trends, product launches and application techniques to provide relevant, up‑to‑date advice.
- Contribute to an inclusive, team‑oriented environment and model Sephora standards and policies.
- Be available for scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays; meet minimum weekly hours for the role.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or another client‑facing environment with demonstrated ability to build client relationships.
- Passion for beauty products, trends and helping clients feel confident.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult one‑on‑one.
- Reliable availability for retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays; punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills
Experience
Entry‑level; previous retail, hospitality or client‑facing experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and develop strong client relationships is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant cosmetology or beauty certifications are desirable but not required.
