Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, consultative beauty experiences through one-to-one client consultations and product recommendations tailored to individual needs.
- Demonstrate and communicate product knowledge across skincare, makeup and fragrance to educate and empower clients.
- Drive sales and meet or exceed KPIs and individual sales targets through proactive client engagement and follow-up.
- Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory processes and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized and visually compelling.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new product launches and application techniques to sustain relevance and client confidence.
- Work collaboratively within the store team to foster inclusivity, support peak periods (nights, weekends, holidays) and ensure reliable attendance.
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards to create a secure and welcoming shopping environment.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality or other client-facing experience demonstrating strong service delivery and relationship building.
- Passion for beauty with a demonstrable interest in trends, product ranges and consumer education.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to learn quickly, retain product knowledge and effectively share expertise with clients.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and remain on foot for extended periods.
- Flexible availability to cover required weekly shifts (part‑time: 15–29 hrs/week) including nights, weekends and holidays; punctual and reliable.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level. Previous retail or client-facing experience preferred; demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and develop client relationships.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary training in cosmetology, esthetics or a related discipline is an asset.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, with easy access to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.20 to CAD 21.40 per hour.
