Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized one-to-one consultations and tailored product recommendations that address each client’s needs and aspirations.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across makeup, skincare, fragrance and tools to educate and empower clients.
- Keep current with beauty trends, new product launches and application techniques to ensure relevant, trend-forward advice.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales goals and key performance indicators through consultative selling and client follow-up.
- Maintain high standards of merchandising, inventory accuracy and visual presentation to ensure a clean, inviting store environment.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team culture and adhere to Sephora’s operational and safety standards.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required for peak retail operations.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience demonstrating excellent service and relationship-building skills preferred.
- Demonstrable passion for beauty, trends and product knowledge; eagerness to learn and share expertise.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and influence.
- Reliable availability for required weekly shifts (full-time 30–40 hrs/week) and punctual attendance.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; prior experience in retail, hospitality or another client-focused environment is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service and build client relationships is expected.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional cosmetology, esthetics or beauty-focused training is a plus.
