Sephora (Bethesda, MD) is hiring a part-time Beauty Advisor. Hourly $21.75–$24.88; deliver personalized consultations and drive sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
  • Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance to educate and empower clients.
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators through consultative selling and clienteling.
  • Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory processes, and ensure a clean, organized and welcoming sales floor.
  • Stay current with beauty trends, product launches and techniques to provide relevant, up-to-date advice.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, team-oriented store culture and uphold company policies for a safe shopping environment.
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays to meet peak retail demand.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships in retail, hospitality, or other client-facing roles (preferred).
  • Passion for beauty, current trends, and a desire to empower client confidence.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented and collaborative.
  • Reliable availability for required shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) and punctual attendance.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.

Experience

Entry-level. Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred; demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and meet sales goals.
