Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized consultations and product recommendations to create tailored beauty experiences and build long-term client relationships.
• Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance ranges; educate clients on application techniques and regimen selection.
• Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators through consultative selling and conversion of client interactions.
• Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory processes and ensure the boutique remains clean, organized and visually inviting.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new product launches and techniques to provide timely, relevant advice.
• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative store environment that upholds Sephora Canada’s operational and customer service standards.
• Be available for scheduled shifts during peak retail hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays; maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
• Perform light physical tasks required for retail operations, including lifting and carrying merchandise (up to 50 lbs).

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail, hospitality or another client-facing environment, with demonstrated customer-service aptitude.
• Genuine passion for beauty, trends and product knowledge with the ability to translate expertise into client confidence.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, target-driven team and adapt quickly to new product training.
• Availability to work the hours required for a part-time schedule (15–29 hrs/week) including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physically able to perform routine retail tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Skills

Experience

Entry-level. Previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred but not mandatory; onboarding training is provided.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant beauty or cosmetology certification is an asset.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18.20 to CAD 21.40 per hour.
