The Beauty Advisor provides expert makeup, skincare and fragrance advice, delivers Sephora-standard customer service and supports sales targets, training, merchandising, cashiering and inventory management. This is a full-time, on-site store position in Beijing, reporting to the store management team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to customers on makeup, skincare and fragrance, delivering a high-quality shopping experience in line with Sephora’s service philosophy and improving customer satisfaction.
- Follow hygiene rules and regulations during customer service.
- Welcome customers in accordance with company standards for makeup and uniform.
- Understand customers’ needs, recommend products and help them select suitable items.
- Understand the store’s short- and long-term sales targets and key KPIs, and work with the team to achieve them.
- Complete required foundational training and assessments; participate in brand, regional and in-store training to develop product knowledge.
- Share experience with colleagues, support mutual learning and development, and understand Sephora’s employee career paths while setting an individual development plan.
- Prepare product displays in the assigned area, replenish shelves, keep shelves and drawers clean, and maintain visual presentation in line with Sephora standards.
- Monitor tester cleanliness and use, and promptly communicate identified issues to the management team.
- Execute the company’s quarterly promotional displays.
- Process customer purchases in accordance with cashiering procedures and standard operating procedures, and correctly apply promotional gift-with-purchase policies.
- Follow CRM policies and processes to prevent violations, and work with the management team to follow cashiering SOPs and safeguard store cash.
- Accurately carry out receiving, returns and inventory counts; apply FIFO and manage products nearing expiration to improve inventory accuracy and reduce store loss.
- Follow the warehouse 5S policy and all company policies and regulations.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the Store Manager as needed.
