The Beauty Advisor provides expert makeup, skincare, and fragrance consultations, delivers Sephora-standard customer service, and works toward store sales targets. The role also supports training, visual merchandising, cashiering, and inventory management, reporting to the store management team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultations on makeup, skincare, and fragrance.
- Deliver quality service in line with Sephora’s service philosophy to increase customer satisfaction, while adhering to hygiene rules and regulations.
- Welcome customers in accordance with company standards for makeup and uniform.
- Understand customers’ needs, offer advice, and recommend suitable products.
- Understand short- and long-term store sales targets and key performance indicators, and work toward them according to the team plan.
- Complete required basic training and examinations; attend brand, regional trainer, and in-store training to build product knowledge.
- Share experience with colleagues and support one another’s learning and development.
- Understand Sephora’s store employee career paths and develop an individual development plan.
- Prepare product displays in the assigned area and replenish shelves promptly.
- Keep shelves and drawers clean, maintain Sephora visual standards in the assigned area, monitor tester cleanliness and usage, and report issues to management.
- Execute quarterly promotional displays.
- Process purchases according to cashiering procedures and standard operating procedures, apply the company’s gift-with-purchase policy correctly, and follow CRM policies and procedures.
- Work with the management team to follow cashiering SOPs and safeguard store cash.
- Process receipts, returns, and stock counts accurately; apply first-in, first-out rotation and manage products nearing expiry to reduce store losses; follow the stockroom 5S policy.
- Comply with company policies and regulations and complete tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
