Sephora in Amherst, NY seeks a Part‑Time Beauty Advisor; $18–$23/hr, client consultations and product expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product expertise across makeup, skincare and fragrance and educate clients on application and routines.
- Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators through proactive client engagement and follow-up.
- Maintain merchandising standards, support inventory processes and ensure a clean, organized, customer-ready sales floor.
- Stay current with beauty trends and product launches to provide relevant, up-to-date advice.
- Contribute to an inclusive team environment and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service in retail, hospitality or another client-focused environment.
- Passion for beauty, trends and client empowerment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative, goal-driven approach.
- Availability for retail peak hours including nights, weekends and holidays; ability to meet minimum weekly shift requirements.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level; previous retail, hospitality or client-facing experience is preferred but not required. Sephora welcomes candidates who demonstrate strong customer service aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Amherst, New York, USA, with easy access to Buffalo.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18 to USD 23 per hour.
