Sephora in Winston‑Salem is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations, team development and client experience (on‑site).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support daily store operations to achieve sales, profitability and service KPIs while ensuring a seamless client journey across in‑store experiences and loyalty programs.
  • Lead, coach and develop the store team through real‑time feedback, formal performance appraisals, and tailored development plans to elevate capability and retention.
  • Recruit, onboard and cultivate a diverse, inclusive talent pipeline that reflects brand values and delivers signature Sephora service.
  • Maintain visual and operational standards — merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, compliance with policies, and an immaculate store environment.
  • Optimize staffing and inventory resources to respond to shifting priorities and drive sustainable growth in a high‑volume retail setting.
  • Resolve client concerns with professionalism and empathy, driving satisfaction, repeat engagement and loyalty program activation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive retail experience with demonstrated success as an assistant or deputy store manager in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen, with experience recruiting, coaching and driving team performance toward measurable goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable delivering constructive feedback and facilitating open dialogue.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by retail operations.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and applying product during client services (with reasonable accommodation as needed).

Experience

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 60,100 to USD 73,600 per annum.
