Sephora is hiring a full-time, permanent Assistant Store Manager for its Clackamas store in Portland, Oregon. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead store operations, team development, sales performance, and client experience; it requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability, as well as the ability to meet specified physical demands. Annual base salary is $60,100–$73,600, with possible bonus eligibility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations, deliver exceptional client experiences, and drive sales and profitability.
  • Lead, coach, inspire, and empower the team to achieve performance goals while fostering development and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success as a retail assistant manager in fast-paced, high-volume environments, driving results and improving team performance through hands-on leadership.
  • Strong leadership and business acumen, including the ability to recruit, inspire, and develop talent and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building trust and clarity across teams and clients, delivering constructive feedback, and facilitating open dialogue.
  • Commitment to team development through tailored mentorship, real-time coaching, and actionable feedback.
  • Experience creating personalised client experiences that build loyalty while balancing operational priorities and driving business growth.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves, and stand and walk the sales floor for an entire shift.
