Role & Responsibilities

  • Support store operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional client experiences while driving sales, conversion and profitability in a high-volume retail environment.
  • Lead, coach and develop the store team through real-time coaching, actionable feedback and formal performance appraisals to raise capability and engagement.
  • Recruit, onboard and retain diverse, talent-aligned associates who embody Sephora’s service standards and brand values.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in assistant store management or equivalent supervisory role within fast-paced, high-volume retail environments.
  • Demonstrable leadership and commercial acumen with experience recruiting, developing and motivating teams to meet performance goals.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deliver constructive feedback and foster open dialogue.
  • Commitment to coaching and talent development, with a track record of driving employee growth and accountability.
  • Client-centric orientation with history of creating personalised experiences that build loyalty and drive repeat business.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for the duration of a shift, and handle/apply beauty products (accommodations provided as appropriate).

Experience

Typically requires a demonstrated track record as an assistant store manager or senior supervisor in busy retail settings; candidates with 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience who have consistently driven sales and team performance are preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field preferred.
