Assistant Store Manager position at Sephora Karrinyup, Perth. Lead retail operations, drive sales performance, and manage team development in this full-time permanent role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in leading the retail team to deliver exceptional client experiences and build brand loyalty through experiential retail
  • Utilize operational data and analytics to drive business growth, sales conversion, and strategic decision-making in collaboration with the Store Manager and District Manager
  • Cultivate a results-driven sales culture within the team to meet KPIs and advance Sephora's brand values and commercial objectives
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including shrinkage percentages, sales conversion rates, and promotional performance of Sephora Collection products
  • Manage the store's profit and loss statement, forecast sales, and maximize profitability through active commercial oversight
  • Lead and develop team performance and capability, providing coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities to support internal talent progression
  • Implement and drive operational initiatives including brand events, training programs, and visual merchandising updates to maintain brand standards and store presentation
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive team culture where all members are valued, recognized, and empowered to succeed
  • Ensure the store environment reflects Sephora's brand identity, cleanliness standards, and operational excellence
  • Conduct hands-on leadership on the sales floor, motivating team members and supporting delivery of first-class customer service during peak trading hours

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years' demonstrated experience in retail store line management or supervisory roles
  • Previous management experience at a multi-site retailer or large-scale retail operation (big box format)
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage P&L, inventory, and key business metrics
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and business management skills
  • Demonstrated talent for attracting, identifying, and developing high-performing retail employees
  • Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication, and the ability to influence team members across all levels
