Sephora seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Meatpacking, New York to lead store operations, coach teams, and drive client experience. Full-time, salaried role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily store operations alongside the Store Manager to ensure an exceptional client experience while meeting sales and profitability objectives.
- Lead, coach and develop store teams through real-time feedback, performance appraisals and targeted development plans to drive engagement and results.
- Recruit, onboard and cultivate a diverse retail team that embodies brand values and delivers Sephora’s signature service.
- Drive client engagement and loyalty through personalized service, resolution of client concerns, and active promotion of loyalty programs.
- Maintain operational excellence — ensure visual standards, store cleanliness, compliance with policies and loss-prevention protocols.
- Optimize inventory, staffing and resource allocation to respond to shifting priorities in a high-volume retail environment.
- Adapt store priorities and execution to peak periods, promotional events and local market opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assistant store management or equivalent leadership role within fast-paced, high-volume retail environments.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, inspire and develop retail teams with strong commercial and people-management acumen.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills; comfortable delivering constructive feedback.
- Passion for coaching and employee development with a track record of improving team performance and engagement.
- Client-centric orientation with experience driving personalized service and loyalty-building initiatives.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and apply products to clients.

Demonstrated success as an assistant manager in high-volume retail settings, with a history of driving sales, developing talent, and managing day-to-day store operations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 75,700 to USD 92,750 per annum.
