Sephora in Munich seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead the retail team, drive sales and deliver outstanding client experiences (on‑site, permanent).
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the store team; conduct appraisals, manage induction and organise training programmes.
- Drive commercial performance to achieve monthly and annual sales targets, including year‑on‑year growth.
- Own daily store operations: staff planning, zoning, opening/closing procedures and cash register reconciliation.
- Ensure exceptional client experience through frontline presence, morning briefings, shift handovers and service standards.
- Plan and execute visual merchandising updates, in‑store activations and beauty classes to increase footfall and conversion.
- Manage end‑to‑end merchandise processes: receiving, storage, bookings, returns, tester management and inventory cycles.
- Analyse sales and category KPIs (MS, IPT, AVB, CR) to define and implement corrective commercial activities.
- Maintain store housekeeping, report maintenance and merchandise issues, and ensure compliance with Sephora audit rules.
- Act as deputy for the Store Manager and assume full managerial responsibilities in their absence.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and coaching capability with a hands‑on, empathetic management style.
- Customer‑focused, commercial mindset with strong communication and delegation skills.
- Structured, reliable and solution-oriented approach to daily retail operations.
- Ability to inspire and engage staff while maintaining presence on the sales floor.
- Analytical aptitude with experience using sales figures to drive activity and results.
- Basic knowledge of SAP and Excel is an advantage.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of retail experience with demonstrable people management and team leadership; experience in the beauty sector is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification or degree in business, retail or management is desirable.

The successful candidate will be located in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
